It’s November. How did that happen??? And you know the deal, once Halloween is over – that is IT – the year just barrels to an end. Nooooooooo!!!! I still have so much to do with my dissertation! So much is due before the end of the year that I still haven’t made it back to ballet class. Sadness. Sometimes being a grown-up is so much not fun. But that’s dwelling on the situation negatively and that’s a choice. Very soon, I will be done with this dissertation and I’ll have another diploma to hang on the wall and another graduation to plan for… I do love a graduation ceremony. I’ll have time to work on my other writing and get to back to ballet class with vengeance and I’ve got BIG plans for this blog… I promise some ballet blog goodness in the new year!
I do have a plan for November though and here it is. November will be 30 days of gratitude. Please feel free to join in – ballet related or not.
Today, on this first day of November, I am grateful to have ballet in my life, even when I am not dancing. I am grateful for ballet friends who understand my passion and lunacy. And I am grateful for pots of coffee and cases of Diet Coke… I am writing a dissertation after all!
Sending you tons of good vibes and heartfelt encouragement with the dissertation writing. I finished mine almost exactly two years ago and remember that final push very well. You rock! 🙂
Thank you! It’s sort of strangely special – the final push! Gotta do it, almost there!
Yup, it is satisfying to be able to have the time to sit down and organize, gather, and summarize all the work you’ve done over the last umpteen years. After a lot of obsessing and agonizing over details, stepping back and looking at the big picture in context is a very seminal moment! 🙂 Enjoy it!
All true, thank you!
