I seriously have NO business entering a blog contest, I have been a very bad blogger this year. But I think everyone should be aware of Dance Advantage and support this great site and its mission to share fabulous dance information and bring dance sources together. So to that end, I am throwing my hat in the ring. So what can you do? Well, if you are so inclined and feeling extraordinary generous, you can simply leave a comment on THIS BLOG POST. It would actually be really nice to hear what you like or don’t like about the blog – it’s okay, I know, I’m the first one to say that the last half of 2012, I completely fell down on the job!!! Suggestions and kind criticisms are always welcome. Actually the timing is really good for suggestions because as soon as I’m done with my dissertation, I have some plans for revamping the blog, so I’ll definitely be taking into considerations all of your opinions!
Thanks, y’all 🙂
Just caught up on some of your blog posts now, which made me smile. I have a cat who hangs out on my keyboard, too (and sometimes rearranges my playlists in iTunes!)
You have my vote! 🙂
Thank you, Maria!
I ♥ Lorry.
I heart Steve 🙂
Congrats! What a great way to start out 2013…I think it’s gonna be your year 🙂
Thank you! 2013 sounds like good times!
Good luck! I love your personal voice and point of view!
Thanks, Jeff!
I happen to have a rival blog and must tell you:
Everyone, ‘The 109th Bead’ is like a little sliver of heaven to read. If you’re not reading Lorry’s blog, you are missing out on some beautiful writing. Merde to you, Lorry! XOXOXO
Thank you, Teri! You are so generous! I so appreciate your support! XOXOXO!!!
I *love* your writing personality and reverence for our chosen dance muse-‘Ballet’. I also know how valuable feedback is to each and every one of us; who knows better than our co-bloggers how much work goes into what we do (our ginormous collective writing genius quite aside)? 🙂
I’m fairly certain that there’s no blogger out there that hasn’t spent hours on a post, felt that incredible rush upon clicking ‘Publish’, and then wondered, when the entire world doesn’t stop what it’s doing to comment on our blog, if anyone out there was actually reading what we write.
Just wanted to let you know I do. I read what you write.
🙂
Thanks again! It’s interesting the role that feedback plays because it’s more than just applause for our blogging work, it also allows us as writers to try to gauge what we are doing and how we are doing. This blog has been a bit of a mess because it has really reflected my stepping into this foreign world – not just of blogging but of dancing, and let’s face it, that’s been pretty messy too! The blog absolutely reflects where I am in my dancing pursuits – which is why it’s been so sparse as of late – and it is personal, I have been very intentional in writing this blog in my own voice. So, thank you so much for reading and responding! Sometimes it does feel like I’m writing out there to the crickets. It’s encouraging as a writer and a dancer to have an audience. 🙂
I really enjoy your blog. You have a great sense of humor. The volcano vs Manu post was fab! Good luck.
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the post 🙂
