October is one of my favorite months… it’s my birthday month, the weather starts to get colder (maybe even some baby soft mist and rain), Halloween candy (eeeyyyy 🍭🍬🍫), and we are just starting to play around with the idea of the holidays. What’s great is that the countdown isn’t here yet, holiday plans, shopping and what not are all still lovely ideas before things become scary torment when they come flying at your face. But now it’s over and it’s time to accept that it is November and the holidays will soon be here along with the possibility (probability?) of winter weight. I never did find my svelte summer self !!! 😂😂😂

But I’m looking forward to being in this November. I am participating in #NaNoWriMo this year. I’ve signed up before but I’m never ready and I fall off by Day 2. I’m not really ready for November this year either! I’m not ready to write a book, I’m barely ready to boil an egg for breakfast but… but I think sometimes you just have to start, regardless of readiness.

There is beauty in the beginning, the new start, the audacity of bravery to start something that just doesn’t make sense.
